Tyler Rod & Gun Club Shooting Range

The Tyler Rod and Gun Club facility is located 1.5 miles West of Tyler, MN on US Highway 14. The Tyler Rod & Gun Club is an active club who works to promote sportsmen interests in and around Tyler, MN. Through community events, gun education, sponsorships, and the operation of the new Tyler Area Shooting Range, the Tyler Rod & Gun Club is the foundation for maintaining a safe and well preserved tradition of sportsmanship on the prairies and lakes of Minnesota. Sign up to be a member today and enjoy the benefits of the shooting range. 

 

Golfing

At the Tyler Golf Club you can experience a challenging 18 hole golf course and a beautiful clubhouse with a banquet hall that seats over 300 guests.  With friendly staff and great views of the golf course, the venue is perfect for weddings, graduations, social events, or business meetings. The Tyler Golf Club is also home to the 19th Hole Bar and Grill a great place to eat and drink while overlooking the golf course.

 

Historic Danebod 

Just before the rolling hills of Buffalo Ridge in southwestern Minnesota lies Danebod; a place nestled in the history of a community and the heart of the prairie. The entire Danebod campus, including Danebod Lutheran Church has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975 due to both architectural and historic significance of structures. 

 

Tyler Municipal Pool & Splash Pad

Tyler has one of the nicest HEATED pools in the area. The facility has a 4-12ft. Pool with a diving board and slide, 1.5ft. Baby Pool for the littles, and also a new Splash Pad. The pool is located in the Lions City Park at the intersection of Oak Street and County Road 8 across from the RTR School. Both private and group swimming lessons during the summer and special water aerobic classes are also made available to the public. The pool and splash pad can be rented for special occasions. 

  

Tyler StoryWalk® 

People of all ages are now able to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. The Tyler Public Library has installed weather proof cases that contain pages from books along an outdoor path around the Municipal Pool Park. The stories are changed out monthly for residents and visitors to enjoy year round! If you want to know more before you go, contact the Tyler Library, otherwise head on over to the park for a reading adventure!!

 

Stoney Point Park & Public Boat Landing

Looking for a place to launch your boat or dip your toes in the water? Stoney Point Park is the place to go. Located just 3 miles west and 2 miles north of Tyler you'll find Stoney Point Park and Campground. The Campground is mostly privately owned with a small portion that is leased from the City of Tyler. The eastern area has a boat ramp and dock available to the public.

 

Aebleskiver Days

Aebleskiver Days is a Danish Festival held every year on the 4th weekend in July! There are a lot of events held including a parade, model airplane show, dance, and lots of fun at the fairgrounds and throughout the city. Make sure to mark your calendars and spend the weekend in Tyler!
